Welcome to CoachWest the West of England Sport Trust (Wesport) Coach Development website.
This site exists to support coaches and recruiters who are based in the West of England. We provide a service to support coach development and to assist coaches in finding employment. We work closely with recruiters and employers to ensure coaches are appropriately supported, valued and developed.
For employers our aim is to provide easy links to quality, professional coaches from a number of sport/activity leadership disciplines.
We are looking for people to register on the site as:
- A coach looking for qualifications and training opportunities
- A coach looking for employment
- An organisation looking to make use of a volunteer or a paid coach

Bookings now open for Coach Day
The Dame Kelly Holmes Legacy Trust, South West Talent Development Centre and Wesport have come together to provide a day of support for Athletes and Coaches.
The Athletes are being identified by the SW Talent Development Centre and coaches that work with these athletes will be invited to be part of the performnace strand of the day.
Dame Kelly Holmes will also be in attendance for the entire day and will work with the young athletes primarily but also have a question and answer session with the coaches and parents.
The coach development part of the day will involve two strands to accommodate both Performance coaches and Childrens & Participation coaches. All coaches are welcome to apply for a place on the day and are on a first come first served basis.
