Welcome to CoachWest the West of England Sport Trust (Wesport) Coach Development website.

This site exists to support coaches and recruiters who are based in the West of England. We provide a service to support coach development and to assist coaches in finding employment. We work closely with recruiters and employers to ensure coaches are appropriately supported, valued and developed.

For employers our aim is to provide easy links to quality, professional coaches from a number of sport/activity leadership disciplines.

We are looking for people to register on the site as:

  • A coach looking for qualifications and training opportunities
  • A coach looking for employment
  • An organisation looking to make use of a volunteer or a paid coach

Please continue to look around the site to find out more about how we can help you. If you have any further queries that are not answered on the pages please feel free to contact the Wesport Coaching Development Officer on 0117 3286266 or coaching@wesport.org.uk and we will be more than happy to help where we can.

N.B. For potential Recruiters (employers/placement providers) please click the link on the top right of this page to gain more information on how the system can be of a benefit to you as an organisation and the joining process.

Volunteers needed for The British Transplant Games, Bath 2010!

The Games are organised by Transplant Sport UK (TSUK), with the aims of demonstrating to the public the benefits of organ transplantation, encourage transplantees to live life to the full with exercise and social interaction, and to promote awareness of the desperate need for more organ donors.

Over the years the event has grown from a 1 day to a 4-day event now attracting over 800 competitors and nearly 1500 spectators, including donor families. Usually the Games are hosted annually in different cities around the UK, but with the success of Bath 2006, the Games have decided to return to the city for a second year. These will be the 33rd Games and are being held in Bath from the 19th - 22nd August 2010.
